Super Stripey Spun Beanie

The Super Stripey Spun Beanie’s 2-color version yields one hat with an (optional) pompom, while the 5-color version yields 2 hats (but be careful to alter your stripe sequence). It may also be made in a solid color, using 250 yards of any fingering- or sport-weight yarn that gives you the required gauge.
YARN: Fibre Co. Amble Minis (70 percent Easy-wash Merino, 20 percent Easy-wash alpaca, 10 percent nylon; 88yd per 50g skein), in “Appleby Castle (C1)” “Isel” (C2), “Blackbeck” (C3), “Seawall” (C4), and “Buttermere” (C5), 1 skein each color (for 5-color version); in “Appleby Castle” (C1) and “Heathland” (C2); 2 skeins C1 and 1 skein C2 (for 2-color version)
NEEDLES: US Size 3/3.25mm, 16” circular, and US 3/3.25mm, dpns, or size needed to achieve gauge
SIZE: 18”/46cm diameter (fits a 21-23”/53-58cm head) OR 20”/51cm diameter (fits 24-26”/61-66cm head)
GAUGE: 30 sts and 44 rows is 4” in stockinette
