Any Aran  or heavy worsted weight yarn with good stitch definition will work for Mutze!

YARN: Kelbourne Woolens Germantown (100 percent wool, 220yd per 1000g ball) in “Jade,” 1 skein

NEEDLES: US Size 5/4mm, 16” circular, US Size 7/5mm, 16” circular, and US 7/5mm dpns, or sizes needed to achieve gauge

SIZE: 19” diameter (fits a 21-23”/53-58cm head)

GAUGE: 20 sts and 28 rows is 4” in stockinette, using larger needles

NOTIONS: Yarn needle, 6 stitch markers
