Spun is excited to welcome fiber artist Lisa Selph and ceramist Jackie Whiteley!
Lisa is a Michigan fiber artist and all-around clever tinkerer. She makes her adorable and approachable support spindles by hand, shaping the shafts for a comfortable grip when flicking. Each shaft is paired with a whorl of either wood or ceramic.
Jackie is an art teacher and Michigan ceramist with 25 years of experience, producing under her studio name 4 Dot Pottery. She is endlessly fascinated with the interaction of glaze and texture in her work. She makes tiny, perfect spinning bowls to pair with Lisa's support spindles -- or to tuck on a shelf and hold something precious.
Lisa will demonstrate how to use a support spindle throughout the day.
