Next Step Knitting: Slip Stitch Colorwork (“Soundtrack Cowl”)
Teacher: Karen Lucas
Cost: $85
When: Wednesdays, March 4 & 18, 3:00–5:00pm
Description: Have you always wanted to try knitting with two colors? In this class you’ll use slipped stitches to create a lovely colorwork cowl, a technique that’s much easier than it looks, since you only work with one color at a time. The end results are both a new and useful skill and a gorgeous cowl to keep or to give.
Prerequisites: Participants should have basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl). Previous experience with knitting in the round is not necessary.
Homework: Choose one of your two colors and cast on 116 stitches using US7 needle (per pattern instructions). Class will begin with joining in the round.
Min/max number of participants: 5/8
