Knitting for Olive's Soft Silk Mohair features a luxurious hand and an unparalleled palette, the ideal match for Knitting for Olive's other yarns, particularly Knitting for Olive Merino. The kid mohair here comes from angora goats bred in South Africa, the fiber traceable back to individual farms that emphasize animal well-being and social responsibility. The mulberry silk is likewise cruelty free, the silk fibers collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths; this means that the silk worms are not killed in the process, as in conventional silk production. Make something you'll feel good about! Hand wash, and lay flat to dry.
