Teacher: Jill Tamminen
Cost: $165
When: Mondays, April 6, 13 & 20, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: The Knit Sisu “Tuula” Technique Shawl is a bottom-up constructed shawl that introduces specific knitting techniques that repeat throughout the shawl. Prerequisites: Participants should be confident in basic knitting skills, including casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.
Homework: None.
Min/max number of participants: 4/8
Materials to bring along:
- Approx 700yds solid or semi-solid/tonal DK yarn, purchased from Spun (we suggest Emma's Yarn Simply Spectacular DK, Juniper Moon Patagonia, Berroco Vintage DK, or Kelbourne Woolens Cozy)
- Size US7 circular needle
- stitch marker

What is SISU? Sisu is a Finnish word that describes a mindset of quiet strength, determination, courage, humility, resilience, and gratitude. Jill grew up with Sisu, and tries to carry its wisdom into all aspects of her life.
When she's not knitting, you can find Jill on long walks or hikes with her husband, practicing yoga, cooking, reading, or playing with their pup, Sig.
