Bind-Offs: Beyond the Basic

Description: Did you know there are many different ways to bind off your knitting? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be shown 4 different bind-off methods and have time to try them all out. We'll be studying the following bind-off methods: I-cord, sloped, elastic, and tubular. We'll also talk about how you can save and label each bind-off swatch to make yourself reference cards.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with the long-tail cast-on, knit and purl stitches, and the standard bind-off.

Min/max number of participants: 4/10
Materials to bring along:
- 1 skein light-colored worsted weight yarn, purchased from Spun (we suggest Berroco Lanas, Cascade 220, or Cascade 220 Superwash)
- Size US8 knitting needles (straight or circular)
- Size US8 DPNs if you have them
- Scissors or snips
- Tapestry needle
- Safety pins or locking stitch markers for your swatch labels
