Beginning Crochet with Sammy Kay

Description: Interested in picking up crochet? Want to jumpstart your fiber arts journey? Just want to make a cute bandana? This quick, hands-on, two-session course will give you a straightforward introduction to the four most common crochet stitches and set you up to continue crafting on your own! Skills covered (using American crochet terms): chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, increasing, weaving in ends, following a pattern.

Homework: None
Min/max number of participants: 4/8
Materials to bring along:
- 1 skein light-colored worsted weight yarn, purchased from Spun (we suggest Berroco Lanas, Cascade 220, or Cascade 220 Superwash)
- 5mm/USH crochet hook
- scissors/yarn snips
- darning/tapestry needle
- pattern will be provided by the instructor
