Edward's Menagerie
by Kerry Lord
To celebrate ten years since the original publication of Kerry Lord’s first book, Edward's Menagerie, we are proud to release an updated and expanded second edition.
In the decade since its first publication Kerry has revisited and revised patterns as additional techniques and new colours have become available. This 2024 edition contains 17 new patterns that are not featured in the original book, and a further 13 revised patterns which have been reworked and perfected. The beginner step-by-step techniques have been expanded, and every project has fully listed yarn colours and double knit quantities.
Inside the new edition of Edward's Menagerie you will find the patterns to make the following 50 crochet animals:
Arranged in order of difficulty, this book is packed with step-by-step instructions, hints and tips for sewing up, and a whole lot of inspiration. Each animal also has a universal pattern where you can change your hook and yarn to create four different sizes, making 160 different possibilities.
Inside the pages you're bound to find a favourite, whether that's Bridget the Elephant, Alice the Zebra, or Emma the Bunny. Each page features an easy-to-follow pattern and short story about the animal you're making. Get ready to spend some time with a suave high-flying rhino, a lovesick elephant who knows her way around a kitchen and a seriously chivalrous tiger...
Be warned that these unlikely characters made using a supersoft yarn in a sumptuous natural colour palette will become your new best friends as you hook your way through the whole menagerie!
