The Mid-Mitten Shop Hop is back!
October 1–4, 2026
It's back! Four beautiful Michigan fall days! A bunch of great local yarn shops! Pick up a Mid-Mitten Passport for $10, grab some friends, and stock your car with crafts and craft-safe snacks!
Each passport holder will receive an exclusive Mid-Mitten 2026 bag at the shop from which they purchased their passport. Then, at each participating LYS, you'll receive a free shop-exclusive pattern just for hopping in.
Both of Spun's free patterns (one knit and one crochet) for 2026 will feature North Bay Fibers Elemental Fingering (a bouncy Michigan-dyed beauty). As a bonus, passport holders receive 20% off Elemental Fingering during the hop.
Spun will be featuring daily door prize drawings, along with a grand-prize drawing at the end of the hop. Stop by the shop to enter!
If you visit each shop, and turn in your passport, you'll also be entered into a grand prize drawing to win a $35 gift certificate to each shop. Participating shops are: Woven Art Yarn Shop (East Lansing), Yarn Garden (Charlotte), Fun with Sticks and Strings (Lansing), Knotty Fun Yarn (Perry), Unwind (Brighton), Spun (Ann Arbor), and Artisan Knitworks (Chelsea).
This year's hop runs from Thursday, October 1, through Sunday, October 4, and all shops will be open common hours:
