Double Knitting Workshop: Textured Marble Fidget Toy

Teacher: Shana Cohen

Cost: $50

When: Thursday, July 30, 6:00–8:00pm

Description: Double knitting is a versatile and fascinating technique that results in a two-layered fabric with knit stitches on both sides (no “wrong side”)!  In this fun workshop with designer Shana Cohen of Shanaline Designs, you’ll learn how to make a (very satisfying) Textured Marble Fidget Toy, working your double knitted fidget toy (surely the first of many) from start to finish in two hours, leaving class with a soothing toy and a whole batch of new skills. What’s not to love?

Prerequisites: This class is suitable for adventurous beginners and beyond. If you have never done a crochet provisional cast-on, please watch Shana’s video tutorial and practice before you come to class.

Homework: None.

Min/max number of participants: 4/10

  • DK weight yarn in 1 or more colors, minimum 15 g for each toy, purchased from Spun (we suggest Berroco Vintage Baby)
