Cabled Hat Workshop (“Antler Toque” by Tin Can Knits)

When: Tuesdays, February 3 & 10, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: Ready to try your hand at cabling? In this class, adventurous beginners and intermediate knitters will learn how to knit a cabled hat. Using the popular “Antler Toque” pattern from Tin Can Knits, you will learn how to knit in the round, cable, work from a chart, and use double-pointed needles.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with casting on, knitting, and purling.
Homework: None.
Min/max number of participants: 4/8
Materials to bring along:
- One skein of worsted weight yarn, purchased from Spun (we recommend Fibre Co. Cumbria, Berroco Vintage, or Berroco Ultra Wool)
- 16” size US6 and US8 circular needles
- Size US8 double-pointed needles
- Stitch markers
- Cable needle
- Darning or tapestry needle
- A printed or digital copy of “Antler Toque” by Tin Can Knits (free download here)
