Next Step Crochet: Granny Squares

When: Wednesdays, January 29 & February 5, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: Ready to put your new crochet skills to work? In this class you’ll learn all the skills you need to make classic granny squares, including crocheting in the round, reading a pattern, changing colors, and seaming your squares together. Granny squares can form blankets, pillow covers, and even sweaters. The only limit is your imagination!
Prerequisites: Beginning Crochet class, or a basic knowledge of crochet fundamentals, including the chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet stitches.
Homework: None
Min/max number of participants: 5/8
Materials to bring along:
- Two (or more!) skeins of Berroco Vintage Baby in two (or more!) different colors, purchased from Spun
- Size USF crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry or darning needle
- A copy of the “Oma” Spundamental pattern (free with yarn purchase; if ordering online, just include a note in the comments field requesting it)
