This soft and airy unspun yarn is produced entirely in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha, the home of Wooldreamers. Manchega sheep (if you’re guessing they are the source of Manchego cheese, you’re correct!) are more commonly used for dairy production than for fiber, an oversight that Wooldreamers hopes to rectify with this meltingly soft and lovely wheel. Manchelopis’ source is two distinct herds in the Castilla-La Mancha region, one with light wool and the other with dark, all the sheep raised following traditional ranching practices that emphasize compassion for both animals and land. Manchelopis may be used a single- or double-ply, and at a variety of gauges, to surprising effect. See the specs above for details, and enjoy! Hand wash, and lay flat to dry.
