Beginning Wheel Spinning
Teacher: Mary Clipner
Cost: $95
When: Sunday, January 12, 1:00–4:00pm
Description: No experience necessary! So many wonderful feelings are evoked when one looks at a beautiful spinning wheel! However, to some that wheel can also seem quite intimidating. In this intimate workshop participants will learn about the history of spinning, the characteristics of different types of wheels, and how they work. After exploring various styles, participants will have the opportunity to spin yarn on one of the provided wheels. Finally, we will discuss next steps for finishing your spun yarn for use in your next project. Together we will learn about and explore what our local fibershed looks and feels like!
