These delightful, seamless baby overalls have a shaped seat that can accommodate even bulky cloth diapers, an I-cord tie at the waist and little suspenders for security. Kelbourne Keystone is a washable yarn that is both soft and hard-wearing; its vibrant colors will keep any baby looking cute and feeling cozy!
Tookish Britches Kits are available in 5 sizes, from 3 to 24 months. In general, it’s best to go by the baby’s actual waist measurement when selecting the appropriate size instead of the age label. You can also choose a size according to how much ease you’d like the garment to have (cloth diapers require more ease than disposable diapers.)
- Size 1 (3 months): to fit a 18” waist, with a 17.75” finished waist circumference
- Size 2 (6 months): to fit a 19” waist, with a 19.5” finished waist circumference
- Size 3 (12 months): to fit a 20” waist, with a 20.5” finished waist circumference
- Size 4 (18 months): to fit a 20.5” waist, with a 21.25” finished waist circumference
- Size 5 (24 months): to fit a 21” waist, with a 21.25” finished waist circumference
Each kit includes sufficient Kelbourne Keystone (70% deadstock acrylic, 30% North American wool) for the size specified in the color of your choice, along with the pattern. We will purchase a copy of Tookish Britches for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles or buttons. You will need US7 and US8 16” circular needles and DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here and our selection of DPNs here. The pattern also calls for two 18-20mm buttons.
