South Slope Vest Kit

Andrea Gaughan’s South Slope Vest is a round-necked vest with fetching micro-stripes. The pattern includes techniques for working the stripes without creating a million ends to weave in! This classic layering piece is made extra special with cozy Harrisville Highland (100% wool), featuring a range of vibrant colors that complement each other beautifully. 

Note: the South Slope Vest pattern includes two different fits. Fit 1 is graded based on a traditional women’s sizing chart and has narrower shoulders, shorter armhole depth, and a shorter body. Fit 2 is graded based on a traditional men’s sizing chart and has wider shoulders, deeper armhole depth, and a longer body. Our sample and our kits follow the Fit 1 specifications for yardage.

South Slope Vest is available in 10 sizes and is designed to fit with approximately 4 inches of positive ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is approximately 4 inches larger than your chest measurement.

• Size 1: 33.75” finished chest circumference
• Size 2: 38.25” finished chest circumference
• Size 3: 41.75” finished chest circumference
• Size 4: 46.25” finished chest circumference
• Size 5: 49.75” finished chest circumference
• Size 6: 54.25” finished chest circumference
• Size 7: 57.75” finished chest circumference
• Size 8: 62.25” finished chest circumference
• Size 9: 65.75” finished chest circumference
• Size 10: 70.25” finished chest circumference
  

Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified in the color combination of your choice, along with the pattern. We will purchase a copy of South Slope Vest for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US4 16” and 32” circular needles and US7 32”-40” circular needles (32” for smaller sizes and 40” for larger sizes) (or size needed to achieve gauge).
