Andrea Mowry’s STRIPES! is a round yoke sweater worked from the top down, and the perfect design for a joyful rainbow! The pattern includes instructions for a cropped or full length fit, and 3/4 or full length sleeves so you can customize the design. Our kit uses soft, washable Berroco Remix Light (9% nylon, 27% cotton, 24% acrylic, 10% silk, 9% linen) in a classic rainbow palette to make a sweater that is comfortable year round! Due to its fantastic yardage, 1 ball of each color will make all 10 sizes of this delightful sweater.
STRIPES! is available in 10 sizes and is designed to be worn with 2 to 6 inches of positive ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is approximately 2 to 6 inches larger than your chest measurement.
- Size 1: 34.25” finished chest circumference
- Size 2: 37” finished chest circumference
- Size 3: 40” finished chest circumference
- Size 4: 46” finished chest circumference
- Size 5: 50.5” finished chest circumference
- Size 6: 55” finished chest circumference
- Size 7: 59.25” finished chest circumference
- Size 8: 63.75” finished chest circumference
- Size 9: 68” finished chest circumference
- Size 10: 72.5” finished chest circumference
Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified along with the pattern. We will purchase a copy of STRIPES! for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US3 and US5 16” and 32-40” circulars (32” for sizes 1-6, 40” for sizes 7-10) and US3 and US5 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge.) If your small circumference knitting tends to be tighter than your large circumference knitting then the designer also suggests having US6 DPNs for the sleeves.
