This soft but hearty worsted, a work-worthy blend of cotton and superwash wool, yields basics that stand up to wear and may be confidently machine-washed on the gentle cycle but that will please the most discerning eye. Blue Sky's patterns for the younger set are straightforward, clean, and stylish, but you might as well make yourself something too. Hand or machine wash, gentle cycle, and lay flat to dry.
