Wendy Bernard’s Kids Spirit Cardigan channels the vintage vibe of a letter sweater for the youngest sports fan! This comfy cardigan has raglan shaping, three cute stripes on one sleeve and uses soft, washable Cascade 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool).
Kids Spirit Cardigan is available in 5 sizes designed to fit kids from 2 to 10 years. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment and we recommend picking a size that is 2-4” larger than the child’s chest measurement.
- Size 1 (2-3 years): 23” finished chest circumference
- Size 2 (4-5 years): 25” finished chest circumference
- Size 3 (6-7 years): 27” finished chest circumference
- Size 4 (8-9 years): 29” finished chest circumference
- Size 5 (10 years): 31” finished chest circumference
Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified along with the pattern. We will purchase a copy of Kids Spirit Cardigan for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. If you would also like to have this pattern in your Ravelry library, please note your Ravelry ID (not your password!) in the "Notes" field in your cart!
If you purchase more than one of the same kit, Spun will automatically purchase only one copy of the pattern for you, and we will refund you the pattern cost for any additional kits. If you need more than one copy of your pattern, please include a note in the 'Notes' field at checkout, and we'll purchase and print the given number of copies of the pattern for you.
Please note that this kit does not include needles or buttons. You will need US7 and US8 24” or longer circular needles and US7 and US8 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here and DPNs here. The cardigan is finished with five 19-22mm buttons.
