We're doubling up this year, with two ways to show your support!
This year our fundraiser begins on January 31!
As in years past, Spun is celebrating Valentine's Day all February long (beginning January 31) with our annual Love Is Love fundraiser in support of Detroit's Ruth Ellis Center. This year we're doing things a little differently, with two ways to support their work improving the lives of LGBTQ+ young folks:
- The Rainbow Scarf is a super straightforward and wearable knit!
- One kit includes enough yarn to make two Rainbow Scarves! (You can imagine the possibilities!)
Second way: We've ordered 60 skeins of the Spun-exclusive colorway Work in Progress, dyed up by Dax Peters from Queen City Yarn on NoDa Sock (75% Merino, 25% nylon)! Pete's been knitting away in said colorway, using our Basic Sock Spundamental pattern, so you all can see what it will look like on some lucky foot. The result knocked our socks off (ahem)!
We'll be donating 10% of all proceeds from sales of
Rainbow Scarf kits and
Work in Progress skeins (and
kits: we'll throw in a Basic Sock Pattern if you'd like) to the Ruth Ellis Center, which works to create opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth to build their vision for a positive future.
