Spun's "Love Is Love" February 2025 Fundraiser!

We're doubling up this year, with two ways to show your support!

As in years past, Spun is celebrating Valentine's Day all February long with our annual Love Is Love fundraiser in support of Detroit's Ruth Ellis Center. This year we're doing things a little differently, with two ways to support their work improving the lives of LGBTQ+ young folks:

First way: Pick up a kit to make our brand-new Spundamental the Rainbow Scarf, designed by Kate Remen-Wait in Blue Sky Fibers' bright, pretty, soft Prairie (53% Suri alpaca, 47% baby Huacaya alpaca). Of note:
  • The Rainbow Scarf is a super straightforward and wearable knit!
  • One kit includes enough yarn to make two Rainbow Scarves! (You can imagine the possibilities!)
Second way: We've ordered 60 skeins of the Spun-exclusive colorway Work in Progress, dyed up by Dax Peters from Queen City Yarn on NoDa Sock (75% Merino, 25% nylon)! Pete's been knitting away in said colorway so you all can see what it will look like on some lucky foot. The result knocked our socks off (ahem)!

We'll be donating 10% of all proceeds from sales of Rainbow Scarf kits and Work in Progress skeins to the Ruth Ellis Center, which works to create opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth to build their vision for a positive future.

Pick up a Rainbow Scarf kit (beginning January 31), or pick up a skein of Work in Progress on NoDa Sock (also beginning January 31). Learn more about the work of the Ruth Ellis Center, and donate directly to support their work, here.
