Mary Pranica’s Emerald Isle Cowl is a lush design that combines luxurious fibers into an elegant windowpane check. By cleverly using Blue Sky Fibers Brushed Suri (67% baby Suri alpaca, 22% Merino, 11% bamboo) in simple stranded colorwork, the floats on the inside of the cowl become a soft insulating layer that are meltingly soft and cozy. The main color of the cowl is knit with Blue Sky Fibers Skyland (40% Highland wool, 30% baby alpaca, 30% silk), which has a beautiful sheen and bounce.
Each kit contains 1 skein of Skyland and 1 skein of Brushed Suri in the color combination of your choice and the pattern for Emerald Isle Cowl which will make one cowl with an approximately 26.75” circumference and 13.5” height. We will purchase a copy of Emerald Isle Cowl for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need a US7 24” circular needle (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here.
