Elliot’s Cozy Set by Twisted Knitwear pairs a classic top-down raglan cardigan with the cutest pair of baby trousers! Both pieces have a simple seed stitch border at the edges and the trousers have a length of elastic (included in the kit) to make dressing easy. Berroco Vintage Baby is an exceptionally soft and washable yarn in a wide range of colors.
Elliot’s Cosy Set is available in 8 sizes, to fit children from newborn to 36 months and is designed to be worn with approximately 1 to 3 inches of positive ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garments and we recommend picking a size that is 0-1” larger than the child’s chest measurement for smaller sizes and up to 3” larger than the child’s chest measurement for larger sizes.
- Size 1 (0-2 months): with a 17” finished chest circumference and 15” waist circumference
- Size 2 (2-4 months): with a 18” finished chest circumference and 16.25” waist circumference
- Size 3 (4-6 months): with a 20” finished chest circumference and 17.25” waist circumference
- Size 4 (6-9 months): with a 20.75” finished chest circumference and 17.75” waist circumference
- Size 5 (9-12 months): with a 21.75” finished chest circumference and 18.5” waist circumference
- Size 6 (12-18 months): with a 23” finished chest circumference and 19.25” waist circumference
- Size 7 (18-24 months): with a 23.75” finished chest circumference and 20” waist circumference
- Size 8 (24-36 months): with a 24.5” finished chest circumference and 20.5” waist circumference
Each kit includes sufficient Vintage Baby (40% superwash wool, 52% extra-fine acrylic, 8% nylon) for the size specified in the color of your choice, a length of elastic for the waistband, and the pattern. We will purchase a copy of Elliot’s Cosy Set for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles or buttons. You will need US6 16” circular needles and US6 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here and DPNs here. The pattern also calls for 5-8 12-15mm buttons (5 buttons for sizes 1-2, 6 buttons for sizes 3-4, 7 buttons for sizes 5-6 and 8 buttons for sizes 7-8). We used these buttons on our sample.
