Elizabeth Smith’s Coffee Bean Cardigan is a simple and striking knit that shows your U-M spirit! The pattern is top-down and seamless and makes a great first sweater for beginner knitters or a fun, relaxing knit for more experienced knitters. It uses worsted-weight Berroco Lanas (100% wool) in classic University of Michigan colors and features an easy 2 row striping pattern.
Coffee Bean Cardigan is available in 10 sizes and is designed to fit with 1-4 inches of positive ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is 1-4 inches larger than your chest measurement.

- Size 3: 41” finished chest circumference
- Size 4: 43.75” finished chest circumference
- Size 5: 47.25” finished chest circumference
- Size 6: 51.75” finished chest circumference

- Size 8: 58” finished chest circumference
- Size 9: 61.5” finished chest circumference
- Size 10: 64.25” finished chest circumference
Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified in the Dark Denim 9543 and Sunny 9521 color combination, along with the pattern. We will purchase a copy of Coffee Bean Cardigan for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles or buttons. You will need US7 and US8 32” or longer circular needles and US7 and US8 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here and DPNs here. The cardigan is finished with six 3/4” buttons.
