Suvi Simola's Cloudy Day Sweater is a boxy, drop-sleeved beauty with a lace pattern on the body and faux seams on each side. The sweater is worked seamlessly from top down and the lace pattern has both charted and written instructions. Harrisville Daylights (80% US Cormo, 20% US wool) is a bouncy, soft 3-ply yarn with a cream base that is dusted with color, evoking the play of warm sunshine over natural surfaces.
Cloudy Day Sweater is available in 8 sizes and is designed to be worn with 11-15 inches of positive ease at the chest. When choosing the size, please pay attention to the upper sleeve circumference. Since the sweater is oversized and, for example, sizes 2 and 3 have the same chest circumference, it’s more important that the upper sleeve measurement is the size you like. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is approximately 11-15 inches larger than your chest measurement and with an upper sleeve measurement that you prefer.
- Size 1: 42.5” finished chest circumference and 13” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 2: 47.25” finished chest circumference and 13.75” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 3: 47.25” finished chest circumference and 15.25” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 4: 52” finished chest circumference and 16” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 5: 56.5” finished chest circumference and 16.75” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 6: 61.25” finished chest circumference and 18.25” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 7: 66” finished chest circumference and 20.5” upper sleeve circumference
- Size 8: 70.75” finished chest circumference and 22” upper sleeve circumference
Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified in the color of your choice along with the pattern. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US4 16” circular needles and US4 and US6 32” circular needles and US4 and US6 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge).
