Ambah O'Brien’s Astra Vest is a close-fitting, cropped vest that pairs a dark background yarn with slip stitches in a color-shifting contrast yarn to create a shimmery, stained-glass effect. Harrisville Nightshades (80% US Cormo, 20% US wool) is a 3-ply woolen beauty that dusts a black base with hints of color, while Manos del Uruguay Marla (100% Merino) has two separately dyed strands that are plied together to create unique marled skeins with beautiful colors and depth.
Astra Vest is available in 17 sizes and is designed to be worn with 0-4.5 inches of negative ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is approximately 0-4.5 inches smaller than your chest measurement.

Each kit includes sufficient yarn for the size specified in the color combination of your choice, along with the pattern. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US6 16” and 24-32” circular needles (24” for smaller sizes and 32” for larger sizes) and US7 24-32” circular needles (24” for smaller sizes and 32” for larger sizes), or size needed to achieve gauge.
