Nancy’s Vest, by Carol Sunday, is a classic light layer that will go with anything! This stockinette vest features fine ribbing details and pretty cable decreases. Its slightly slanted, integrated button band creates a subtle A-line shape for a very flattering fit that dips a little in the front and flares a little in the back. Kelbourne Woolens’ Andorra (60% Merino, 20% Highland wool, 20% mohair) is a springy, strong yarn with a vintage vibe and a palette of beautiful colors.
Laura notes: "My favorite part of making Nancy’s Vest is tied between the gorgeous fabric made from Andorra and the new-to-me techniques: no scrap yarn provisional cast-on and the Best Button Band, to name a couple. Andorra’s wooly mohair blend is a wonderful match to the timeless appeal of this vest, and there are so many button possibilities to give it that finishing pop!"
