Melt the ICE Hats

We're at a loss to find words for what is happening in Minneapolis and all over the country. The long, sad history of armed agents murdering US residents has taken a sickening turn. Masked, anonymous ICE and CBP employees are executing helpless individuals in broad daylight in full view of dozens of cameras. And they are doing so with the administration's promise of "Federal Immunity" from prosecution. 

 

If you're interested in making a Melt the ICE hat, we have plenty of options for red yarn and some helpful patterns to suggest. We know that this isn't all that we're required to do to stop the brutality that is a tactic of this administration. And we also know that we can find solace in and take courage from the quiet act of crafting together. If stitching in company is a comfort for you, come to any of our drop-ins, Monday through Thursday from 6-8pm and Sundays from 1-3pm.

 

And remember that if you can't make any drop-ins or just want a warm, quiet place to stitch, our couches and chairs are always there for you, whenever we're open.
