Josie Mercier’s Frost and Twilight Mitts are the perfect mittens to take along to the game or to keep you warm while you wander Ann Arbor's beautiful snowy campus. The fun and simple-to-memorize pattern keeps things interesting and results in an exceptionally squishy and warm pair of mittens. The slipped-stitch design means you only work one color at a time: no pesky floats to manage!
Sizing
The following are the finished measurements for the indicated size.
- Child Small: 6.5" palm circumference, 6.25" length
- Child Large: 7.25" palm circumference, 7.25" length
- Adult Small: 8" palm circumference, 8.25" length
- Adult Large: 8.75" palm circumference, 9.75" length
Each UM-themed kit includes two balls of Berroco Lanas (100% wool), one of Dark Denim and one of Sunny, along with the pattern for Frost and Twilight Mitts. Each kit will make two pairs of mittens in any combination of sizes with the colors inverted. We will purchase a copy of Frost and Twilight Mitts pattern for you via Ravelry, so you will automatically receive both a printed copy and an emailed PDF. Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US5 and US7 double-pointed needles (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of DPNs here.
