Andrea Rangel’s Dissent Toque is a pattern inspired by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her tradition of wearing a distinctive, ornate collar on days when she gave powerful and pointed opinions at odds with the Supreme Court's majority. The stranded colorwork hat honors RBG’s lifelong fight for justice. The Dissent Toque is available in 5 sizes and has instructions for both beanie and slouchy versions (our sample is the latter). There is enough yarn in each kit to make multiple hats so you can outfit friends and family with this beautiful accessory that serves as a powerful reminder of one of the most inspiring figures in American legal history. As the designer says, “Here’s to Justice Ginsburg. May her memory be a blessing.”

SocktoberFest
Queue the Bavarian music! October is for Socktoberfest! Shop Spun for your favorite skein of sock yarn, and then join us for an informal KAL with local knitting guru Kathy Naumann on Sundays this October. Come one week, or come all four! Jump in the sock pool, and meet other like-minded makers as we all share our favorite sock tips with one another.
