Beginning Knitting with Carol Ullmann

Description: Whether you’re a brand-new knitter or picking it back up after a hiatus, this class will set you on the path to success! Carol Ullmann will cover the basics of casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, and seaming a project with the mattress stitch. After learning the basic techniques during the first lesson, you’ll have a week to practice before checking back in for follow-up help during lesson two. You’ll make a simple pair of fingerless mitts from a pattern provided by the teacher to give you plenty of practice with your new skills!

Materials to bring along:
- One skein of light-colored worsted weight yarn, purchased from Spun (we recommend Berroco Lanas or Vintage)
- Size US8 circular needle, 16”
- Tapestry needle
