Sweater Workshop: “Trompet,” by Josée Paquin
Teacher: Mary Brandau
When: Tuesdays, September 20, 27, October 11 & 25, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: Are you ready to knit a top-down raglan sweater? Josée Paquin’s “Trompet,” worked in dreamy, luxurious Woolfolk Fleck, features standard raglan construction dressed up with a simple cable detail. With Mary’s expert help, you’ll begin by reviewing the pattern schematic, your body measurements, and pattern options before creating a gauge swatch and knitting a classic piece you’ll love to add to your wardrobe. Techniques covered will include swatching in the round, measuring for gauge, working simple cables, splitting for sleeves, finishing, and blocking.
Prerequisites: Students should be familiar with the following: casting on and binding off, knitting, and purling.
Homework: For the first class, bring a favorite sweater to measure.
Min/max number of participants: 3/10
