Strokkur is worked from the bottom up with gentle waist shaping and a fairly short yoke to flatter your face and avoid bagginess under your arms. Short rows are worked above and below the colorwork for the slightly scooped neckline. Designed by Ysolda Teague, this worsted-weight pullover is a delightful straightforward knit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe workshop will include a combination of lecture and practice, with plenty of time for questions and help. The first class will focus on pattern review, instructions, and tips. Then you’ll have time off to knit the body and sleeves. You’ll return in October for classes on joining the body and sleeves, reviewing stranded knitting techniques, working German short rows, joining underarm seams, weaving in ends, and blocking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePrerequisites\u003c\/strong\u003e: Participants should be comfortable with the knitting basics: casting on, the knit and purl stitches, small-circumference knitting, basic decreases (SSK and K2tog) and increases (RLI and LLI), stranded knitting, and binding off.
