Learn to Knit Toe-up Socks

When: Mondays, February 13 & 27, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: Learn to knit socks from the toe up! In this class, you'll learn how to cast on for a seamless toe, how to measure for and knit a short-row heel, and how to work a stretchy bind-off. You'll work from a pattern customized to your specific gauge and measurements for a customized fit.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with knitting, purling, and working on the round using either dpns or magic loop.
Homework: Participants must swatch in the round for gauge before the first class. You will receive detailed instructions when you register.
Min/max number of participants: 3/7
Materials to bring along:
- One skein (100g) of light fingering weight sock yarn, purchased from Spun
- Size US1 double-points (set of five) OR 32” or longer size US1 circular needle (for magic loop) (or size necessary to achieve gauge noted under “Homework,” above)
- Stitch markers
- Darning or tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
- A pencil
- Scissors
