Teacher: Gwyneth Foster
When: Thursday, October 19, 6:00–8:00pm
Description: In this two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of intarsia, a colorwork technique that lets you create colorful designs in your knitting without floats on the back of your work. You’ll practice creating vertical and diagonal blocks in multiple colors, reading colorwork charts, avoiding holes at color joins, and managing multiple strands of yarn.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with knitting, purling, casting on, binding off, and weaving in ends.
Homework: Cast on 30 stitches and work 10 rows in stockinette stitch with one color. Do not bind off.
