Introduction to Rigid Heddle Weaving

When: Wednesdays, January 10, 17, 24 & 31, 3:00–5:00pm
Description: This beginning weaving class will teach you all the basics of weaving with your Cricket loom. You’ll learn basic weaving vocabulary and how to warp (thread) your Cricket loom, in the process creating a sampler of weaving structures while busting your stash! (You effortless multitasker, you!) You’ll also learn to plan a project and warp your loom a second time, finishing class with the skills and confidence to work on your own.

Min/max number of participants: 4/4
Materials to bring along:
- Cricket loom (10” or 15”), already assembled
- For the warp: one skein Berroco Pima 100, purchased from Spun
- For the weft: B.Y.O.S. (bring your own stash!). You’ll need 200–250 yards, ranging from fingering to worsted weight. These can include scraps of any length, and weights can be mixed.
