Getting Started with Inkle Looms

When: Sunday, September 24, 12:00–4:00pm
Description: Inkle looms, perfectly suited for weaving belts and bands, are ideal starter looms: they are easy to use and store, and they require little additional equipment. In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn to make heddles, thread your loom with two colors, and begin weaving. You will also learn to change weft yarn, add new weft yarn, and end your weaving in a secure manner.

Materials to bring along:
- Fully assembled Inkle loom and belt shuttle (comes with loom). To order a loom for in-store pickup, please call the shop at 734-780-7867. Please note, we cannot ship Inkle looms.
- Two skeins of BC Garn Lino in contrasting colors, purchased from Spun
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Pencil and paper for taking notes
