Friendly Wool was founded and run by four Chilean women who weave their principles into every piece of their practice and their products. Their fiber is regionally specific, all traceable to farm of origin in the Aysen Region of Chilean Patagonia. Those involved at every step are committed to respect for the environment, protection of native flora and fauna, rigorous livestock and animal care, and true fair trade. This yarn made its way directly from the heart of Patagonia to Spun, and we could not be more pleased to play a small part in its journey. Friendly Wool is minimally processed and undyed. It blooms considerably with blocking: be sure to visit our swatches the next time you’re in the shop, and expect to be wowed. Make anything your heart desires, and be sure to use the ribbon tag embedded in each cake of yarn as a garment tag after you’ve finished your piece. Hand wash, and lay flat to dry.
