Beginning with casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off, you’ll get lots of practice as you create a beautiful sampler scarf. Mary will also cover knitting tools and terminology, and the basics of gauge, yarn weight, and fiber. You’ll gain confidence as you learn how to fix simple mistakes and how to block.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eParticipants who have attempted knitting in the past will easily be successful and begin to read their knitting. If you’ve never worked with needles and yarn before, the scarf pattern may be adjusted for your skill level. The class is a combination of lecture and practice, with time for questions and help.
