Shelter’s woolen-spun, 2-ply structure results in a jumble of fibers that traps the air and allows you to create fabric that marries warmth and lightness. This is a pleasantly rustic workhorse yarn with a willingness to work at a range of gauges. Remember that Shelter has been treated with care to this point, as evidenced by the vegetable matter you’ll find here and there in the strand (wool comes from sheep! thank you, sheep!), and treat it mindfully on your swift and needles. Wet blocking will allow your stitches to relax and bond with their neighbors, yielding a plush, durable fabric with a slight halo. Enjoy! Hand wash, and lay flat to dry.
While we always match dyelots when possible, with clearance yarn, we might be unable to fill your order with one lot. Please let us know in the Notes field when you check out if you would prefer to cancel an order that contains multiple dyelots.
