Marie-Christine Lévesque’s Petite Marinière Moderne is a nautically inspired top-down sweater with sizes that will fit babies and children. Knit in soft, washable, wool-free CoBaSi (55% cotton, 2% nylon, 16% bamboo, 8% silk), this unisex pattern has a textured body and fun stripes using variegated or tonal dyed yarn against a solid main color background.
Sizing
Petite Marinière Moderne is available in 7 sizes and is designed to be worn with 1-2” positive ease. The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is 1-2" larger than the child's chest measurement.
- Size 1 (0-6 months): 18” chest circumference
- Size 2 (6-12 months): 19” chest circumference
- Size 3 (1-2 years): 20” chest circumference
- Size 4 (2-4 years): 22” chest circumference
- Size 5 (4-6 years): 24” chest circumference
- Size 6 (6-8 years): 26” chest circumference
- Size 7 (8-10 years): 28” chest circumference

Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need US3 and US4 circular needles for working in the round (cable length determined by the size sweater you are knitting) and US3 and US4 DPNs (or size needed to achieve gauge).
