Elizabeth Smith’s Morgan is an open-style, drop-shoulder vest featuring a hi/lo split hem, a textured slip stitch pattern, and pops of contrasting color. We knit it in Lily Kate Makes Axis Worsted (90% Merino, 10% Suri alpaca), a yarn whose tight twist and softness lead to a fabric with unparalleled squish and terrific shape retention!
Sizing
Morgan is available in 12 sizes. It is designed to be worn with 8-12” of positive ease (please note: drop shoulder garments like Morgan require more positive ease than other types of sweater constructions). The sizes listed below correspond to the actual measurement of the finished garment, so to achieve the recommended fit, please choose a size that is 8-12” larger than your chest measurement.
Please note that this kit does not include needles. You will need a US9 24” and 32” circular needle, US8 DPNs and a spare 32” circular needle in any size between US7 and US9 (or size needed to achieve gauge). If you don't already have the appropriate needles at home, you can shop Spun's selection of circular needles here and our selection of double-points here.
